Residence 7 Window Replacement in Derbyshire

Transforming Original Timber Windows into a Modern, Low-Maintenance Solution

Project Overview

This 1990s property had its original timber casement windows. The windows were costing the customer money to maintain and were not performing well. They were not thermally efficient and were not operating with ease.

The Work

We installed 18 new Residence 7 windows, chosen to be in keeping with the previous windows while providing a UPVC solution that requires no maintenance. The new windows feature 28mm argon-filled double glazing and a 7-chamber profile, providing much better thermal performance. The windows were finished in white on both sides, with a mix of white and gold-coloured handles selected at the customer’s request. The bathroom windows were fitted with Sycamore obscure glass. We also replaced the soffits and fascias for the whole house.

The Benefits of Upgrading to Residence 7 Windows

The new Residence 7 windows are much better thermally than the previous windows, thanks to their 28mm argon-filled double glazing and 7-chamber profile.Being UPVC, the new windows require no maintenance, helping to address the maintenance costs associated with the property’s original timber windows.

The new windows also provide easier operation compared with the previous windows.

Overcoming the Challenge

One of the key considerations was replacing the original timber casement windows while keeping the new windows in keeping with the existing style of the property.

The Residence 7 windows provided a modern UPVC alternative while maintaining a similar appearance to the previous windows. The customer was also able to personalise the finished look with a mix of white and gold-coloured handles, helping to achieve the look they wanted.

The Result

The new Residence 7 windows are in keeping with the property’s previous windows while providing a UPVC alternative with improved thermal performance and no maintenance required.

The soffits and fascias were also replaced for the whole house. The customer was over the moon with the look and the service provided by the installers.
